Crispy Marshmallow Squares


- Crispy Marshmallow Squares (Base for cake):


This is done with marshmallow candy made with butter and melt then add the puffed rice. Not expected to cooking in the oven as it does for the other mixtures.Once prepared this hardens and takes the shape of the container where it is allowed to solidify. The solidification takes place in a cool place, preferably in the refrigerator.Then you cut with a knife and is modeled as if it were a sculpture. Serves as the basis for three-dimensional cakes which we will later on.

Marshmallow Crispy Squares       

 WHAT YOU NEED


3 Tbsp. butter or margarine

1 pkg.  (10-1/2 oz.) JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows

6 cups crisp rice cereal

MAKE IT


MELT butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
ADD cereal; mix well.
PRESS onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Cool completely.

Size-Wise
Sweets can add enjoyment to a balanced diet, but choose an appropriate portion.
Use Your Microwave
Microwave butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 45 sec. or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss to coat. Microwave 1-1/2 min. or until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 45 sec. Continue as directed.
Substitute
Prepare using 1 pkg. (10 oz.) regular JET-PUFFED Marshmallows.
